The trend started with Messi, a border collie who starred in last year’s Palme d’Or winner “Anatomy of a fall”. Messi made a catchy entrance on the festival’s opening day by breaking the black-tie dress code. Choosing to be unique and natural, he successfully gathered everyone’s attention. He entertained the crowd by performing tricks on the famous steps of the Palais des Festivals.
