India’s mega pet festival 8th Edition – Unlimited pomp and show!

Oh, what a start!

Pet Fed, recognized as India’s Largest Pet Festival (and the holder of the Limca World Record for the Biggest Dog Carnival), concluded day 1 of its 8th edition at NSIC Grounds, Okhla on December 16th, 2023, Saturday. The event was presented by JUSTDOGS in association with Mankind’s Petstar, was powered by Purina Super coat India and co-powered by Drools. It witnessed a joyous gathering of over 3800+ pets, including dogs, cats, and even iguanas(!), with over 24K pet enthusiasts and parents quite literally walking on sunshine, creating an overwhelming yet upbeat atmosphere. The event had a slice of glam with Pet Fed Investor, Super Model and Cine Star Dino Morea gracing the occasion.

The cutest weekend of the year lasted with a plethora of engaging activities, such as, Red Light Green Light, Security Dog Show, Hop Skip & Jump, Temptation Alley, Pet’s Got Talent, a Fashion Show and an Expert Masterclass in collaboration with Mankind Petstar. The International Cat Show, presented in association with Alliance of Cat Fanciers and World Cat Federation, added a feline touch to the festivities.

Day 2 was even more fun! There was a Pet’s Got Talent show, a cool Pet Fashion Show, and another awesome International Cat Show. it was a day full of exciting stuff for pet lovers! A special act was performed by the Delhi Police Crime Branch Dog Squad, creating awareness and respect for the unsung heroes and squad and their service to the nation.

The festival’s attractions included a dedicated Play Area featuring agility activities, trampolines, ball pools, and doggo slides. An exclusive indoor cat zone ensured that feline friends also had their share of fun. Day 2 hosted a fashion show and the finale of the International Cat Show.

The Adoption Camp as always, was a popular highlight for individuals contemplating on bringing a furry companion to their homes, advocating the adoption principle #AdoptDontShop. NGOs such as Friendicoes, People for Animals, Umeed for Animal, actively supported this cause. Notable attractions included the Police Dog Show, a Masterclass, and a vibrant marketplace boasting over 100 stalls, The Pet Fed festival catered to a wide range of interests and preferences. Free entry was offered to the owners of Indie/Desi Pets, promoting and encouraging adoption.

Highlights of the festival:

Master Class- Embracing a pet involves more than simply offering care and shelter; it goes beyond that! Valuable insights into grooming, health, and nutrition were provided by reputable and experienced professionals.

International Cat Show in association with World Cat Federation & Alliance of Cat Fanciers– In partnership with the Alliance of Cat Fanciers and World Cat Federation, Pet Fed proudly acknowledged and certified all cat breeds throughout both the festival days. Games and other entertaining activities provided for the opportunity to earn certificates and trophies.

Delhi Police Crime Branch Dog Squad Show– A demonstration was held by the Delhi’s Police Crime Branch Dog Squad showcasing their skill and expertise searching for drugs and explosives, locating missing people, finding crime scene evidence, protecting officers and other people, and attacking suspects who flee from the law.

Adoption Camps – Pet Fed firmly believes in the motto #AdoptDontShop. Aiming to promote awareness about adoption as the preferred method of acquiring a pet, Pet Fed actively supports this cause in collaboration with several NGOs such as Friendcoes, People for Animals, Umeed for Animal and others.

Dedicated Play Areas & Agility Ring – There were designated play zone areas for Cats & Dogs respectively, featuring amenities like a ball pool and Agility Ring for dogs, as well as a covered Cat Zone along with a Kitty Play Pen for cats. This arrangement was designed to guarantee a delightful and enjoyable time, creating pawsome moments for pets and their owners alike.

Fashion Show – Can your pet play and slay? This was the right place to show off their skills and flaunt their beauty!

This was a fun activity where pets and their womenswear dressed in quirky and stylish attires and walked down the ramp in style and played the pup-arazzi.

Retail Therapy & More – With over 100+ stalls from across the globe, pet parents got to indulge and shop from the best of products available in the market. Food & beverages were available for visitors where they could chill with their pets: Eat, Drink, Play, Celebrate & Repeat! Free Desi Ticket – Indie pet owners got a DESI TICKET for FREE! This was to encourage people to adopt Indies and give them a fur-ever home. Pet Fed extended a Free Entry to the parents of Indie/Desi Pets at the festival.
